HNC Bin Rental Terms of Use:
- Service Agreement: This agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which HNC Bin Rental provides dumpster rental services throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas. By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms, which are compliant with Ontario law and municipal regulations.
- Eligibility and Scope of Service: Our services are available to residential, commercial, and construction customers in Ottawa, Nepean, Kanata, Gloucester, Orleans, Barrhaven, Stittsville, Kemptville, and surrounding communities, subject to local bylaws and regulations. We provide 12 cubic yard dumpsters ($395+tax) and 17 cubic yard dumpsters ($425+tax) suitable for various types of non-hazardous waste.
- Payment Terms: Standard rental fees are $395+tax for 12-yard dumpsters and $425+tax for 17-yard dumpsters, covering up to two weeks rental and one ton of waste disposal. We accept credit cards, debit cards, e-transfer, cash, and online payments through our secure payment system. Additional fees apply for excess weight ($140+tax per additional ton), extended rental periods beyond two weeks, emergency pickup requests, or disposal of prohibited items. Payment is due upon booking confirmation.
- Weight Limitations and Additional Charges: Each dumpster rental includes disposal of up to one ton (2,000 lbs) of acceptable waste materials. Exceeding this weight limit will result in additional charges of $140+tax per ton or portion thereof. HNC Bin Rental reserves the right to weigh loads and charge accordingly. Customers will be notified of additional charges before processing payment.
- Prohibited Items Policy: A comprehensive list of prohibited items is available on our website and includes but is not limited to: hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, batteries, electronics, tires, liquids, asbestos, medical waste, and any materials banned by municipal waste facilities. Disposing of prohibited items may result in additional disposal fees, fines passed to the customer, immediate service termination, and removal of the dumpster at customer expense.
- Delivery, Placement, and Pickup: HNC Bin Rental will deliver dumpsters to the agreed location on the scheduled date, subject to site accessibility and safety requirements. Customers must provide a suitable, level surface with adequate clearance (minimum 60 feet straight-line access). We are not responsible for damage to driveways, landscaping, or underground utilities. Standard pickup occurs within 24-48 hours of notification. Early pickup requests may incur additional fees.
- Customer Responsibilities: Customers are responsible for: ensuring proper placement location, obtaining any required municipal permits for street placement, loading materials safely without exceeding container height, preventing unauthorized use of the dumpster, and providing clear access for pickup. Customers must not move the dumpster once placed.
- Property Damage and Liability: While HNC Bin Rental takes reasonable care during delivery and pickup, we are not liable for damage to driveways, lawns, or property surfaces that may result from normal delivery operations. Customers should notify us of any underground utilities, septic systems, or soft ground conditions. HNC Bin Rental maintains commercial liability insurance but customers are encouraged to verify coverage with their property insurance provider.
- Cancellation and Refunds: Cancellations made 24 hours or more before scheduled delivery will receive a full refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Refunds for delivered dumpsters will be prorated based on usage and subject to a minimum service charge. Weather-related delivery delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation fees.
- Service Availability and Force Majeure: Service is subject to equipment availability, weather conditions, and municipal regulations. HNC Bin Rental is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, road conditions, municipal restrictions, or equipment breakdown.
- Limitation of Liability: HNC Bin Rental’s total liability under this agreement shall not exceed the total rental fee paid by the customer. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Customers assume all risk for proper use of the dumpster and compliance with local regulations.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from the use of our services will first be addressed through direct negotiation. If resolution cannot be achieved, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or under the jurisdiction of Ontario courts in Ottawa.
- Intellectual Property: The HNC Bin Rental name, logo, and all marketing materials are protected intellectual property. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
- Privacy and Data Protection: Our practices concerning collection, use, and protection of personal information are outlined in our Privacy Policy. We collect only necessary information for service delivery and comply with Ontario privacy legislation.
- Amendments to Terms: HNC Bin Rental reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Customers will be notified of material changes via email or website posting. Continued use of services after notification constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
- Severability: If any provision of these terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
